About the Crafter
Description: Floorcloths are used to highlight a rooms decor only partially covering the main floor covering. Floorcloths are very durable and meant to be walked on. Floorcloths are an American tradition, dating back to the time of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, who both had them while President. Since all floorcloths are handmade, no two will ever be the same, we think that is a good thing, and you have an original piece of artwork with each design. To care for your floorcloth, simply mop it as you would mop your floor, using any gentle cleaning product that you dilute with water, (we suggest you blot-test on reverse glued edge). Skid or slip resistant mesh tape can also be applied to the back of your new floorcloth to help hold it in place on your floor.
This floorcloth is available in custom size beyond what we offer on our website. Please note as size increase, design placement varies. Custom sizes are available at $15 to $18 per square foot depending on the pattern, up to 5 8 to 18. For larger sizes up to 10 X 12, please add an additional $350 to the sq ft price for priming.
All sizes are standard dimension before hemming. All floor cloths are custom made to order upon receipt of order, and take 8 weeks for completion, and longer in humid weather due to curing time.
